In 2016, a friend intro’d us. She called me as I was sitting at my desk as lowly intern & said, “Hey, Aubrey, It’s Brooke!”

I was never expecting her to call. Most people don’t make time for those things when they’re that big.
But that call was single-handedly the reason I didn’t take a reporting job at a major news network. If she hadn’t shared her time w/ me, my life would look very different. 2/3
