Seems like the perfect day for my New Orleans thread.
It's been a long week, and everyone needs something joyful in their feed.
An ode to happier times, all of 10 days ago. Feels like a lifetime.

Saturday morning my husband brought me beignets and coffee from Cafe du Monde, then we hopped on a streetcar to head for lunch.
We spent the afternoon touring the Garden District, admiring Mardi Gras decorations, and making new friends.
I love the architecture in New Orleans. The details are amazing.
I even found my new house!
Just have to get rid of the current occupants first (shh).

Stopped for a quick drink at Lafittes.
Not sure why y’all told me to go there. This place is a hole. A cool one, but still.

Went back to the hotel to rest our feet and get ready for the night.
The Hotel Monteleone is lovely.

We found a cute little French Bistro in the garden district.
Service could have been better, but the food was good, and the atmosphere lovely.
(Forgot to take food pics. We had mussels and frites, crab crepes, and chocolate crepes.)

Our last stop was Sunday brunch at Antoine's, creator of Oysters Rockefeller.
The bottomless mimosas were not bad either.

If you go, ask for my man Sterling Amour. I promise you, he will not disappoint.
Dinner and a show!

We had a lovely time.
Everything was fantastic, the food, architecture, & the culture.
But the people, they were the best part of New Orleans. I made about 5 new best friends, & scored an invite for Mardi Gras next year.
I can't wait to go back.
Laissez les bons temps rouler!
