I've decided to create a thread in order to collect footages and info from Marib (Yemen) after Houthi forces have decided to up the ante on this front. I'll try to do my best but the lack of reliable sources + the shortage of videos do not help.
I've decided to tweet a little about Marib because the majority of Western Media channels do not underline what happens in Yemen today. Marib has offered a shelter to thousands of Yemeni people previously displaced by the war. And now Houthi forces risk to besiege the city.
During the last few days, clashes focused in a wide and mostly rugged area in Western Marib countryside. Yemeni Forces have been able to inflict severe damage on Houthi, but heavy clashes continue.
Some Houthi militants were killed by Yemeni Army soldiers and their vehicles were destroyed (see previous tweet). Others were captured along with their weapons.
Despite this, it's honestly difficult to say if Houthi militants have advanced, and how much. Today they have published an old footage taken in 2015. However, journalists covering the counteroffensive launched by the Yemeni Army tend to post old videos or fake claims too.
As you can see, the Western Marib front (Serwah) is mountainous and every hill has to be conquered or defended with a lot of sacrifices for both sides.

Footage taken today showing Yemeni Army launching a small counteroffensive in Western Marib. It's honestly difficult to understand how successful these attacks are considering that there are not many informations about them.
In Western Marib (Sirwah), this morning Yemeni Army has been able to repel Houthi forces trying to advance. In this video it's possible to see some militants fleeing from a larga plain area.
Some journalists following the operations of the Yemeni Army were filming the area recaptured from Houthi in Sirwah, Western Marib (probably the same area seen in the previous footage), while an explosion caused by a Houthi rocket/mortar shell exploded not so far from them.

In a video taken this morning (I will not post it), Yemeni soldiers have showed the bodies of 8-10 Houthi militants killed in Western Marib countryside. Unclear if they have been killed last night (since, apparently, KSA warplanes carried out some airstrikes) or before.
