#athleitctrianers when was the last time you practiced manual cervical spine stabilization on a seated patient? I'm sure a lot of us have recently practiced on a prone or supine patient, but probably not a seated one.
Think about it, ATH get's hit comes to the sideline, takes a seat on the bench, you get over to them, they complain of neck pain and then you get a positive point tenderness on c-spine. How are you going to care for that patient until EMS arrives?
How are you going to get the patient from the bench to a stretcher? Have you ever used a KED? Would a KED would on your players with equipment?
Sometimes, it's not all cut and dry like how we practice it.

#athletictrianers, here ya go!!!
Only thing that I may change is when they are assessing Pulse, Motor, and Sensory function is instead of asking, “Can you feel this” I would ask, “What am I touching”it is very easy to say no or yes when you are stressed or worried!!!
