I agree with the point and loved reading the essay but I just don't see how you put the toothpaste back in the tube?
The same people who own TCM and WB pictures also own HBOMAX.
I think we all know which one they value more.

Also, cinema as 'content' is the only business model that will get a movie like THE IRISHMAN made in 2020.
Curation should be expanded & touted more on streaming services but the exec that called your 'art' 'content' is the same one who greenlit your 200 million $ movie.

Last point I swear - but praising TCM and calling 'streamers' a devaluation of art despite the fact they have the same 'daddy' and live in the same house is like boycotting Facebook while you still have an active IG account.
