2. Borderline crazy Moms who have sold their homes, land, properties and businesses because they've been lured by the idea of a " #cure" for #autism (which does not exist). The lurers are usually other "special needs parents" who have no idea what they're on about but are 2/n
propped up as the equivalent of social media influencers by other - usually younger or new parents - who have been suckered or even downright scammed into shady interventions hawked by snake oil salesmen, but masquerading as qualified medical doctors. 3/n
3. The #Whatsapp #warrior Mom. You know this type based on the sheer number of Whatsapp groups, #Facebook groups, #Yahoo! groups, #Google groups she's in. She thinks that number of groups she's hunkering down in is directly proportional to her child's progress in real life. 4/n
4. The naïve or once-naive Mom. Enough said. Usually the first one to not only fall for the "biomed" scams but also the first one to scream about the alleged therapeutic effects the snake oil has had on her child's progress. A victim who eventually turns victimizer. 5/n
5. The #RPM mom. She knows it all, usually has several advanced degrees herself (no kidding) but is so desperate that she falls for this thing called Rapid Prompting Method which is really old wine in a new bottle. You might otherwise know it as Facilitated Communication. 6/n
7. The shill Mom. Yep... that's not just her description but also her full time job. This one quite shamelessly shills for quacks, druids, scams, snake oil, and even rogue "doctors" who promote non-evidence based intervention aka UNCONTROLLED EXPERIMENTATION on their child. 7/n
