According to estimates:
~600,000 people died in the Iraq-Iran War
~100,000 died in & as a result of the Kuwait Invasion
~200,000 - 250,000+ were murdered or disappeared in Saddam’s prisons, mass graves, and genocidal campaigns.

This includes the Anfal campaign, the 91 uprising & the thousands of political prisoners and innocents who found in mass graves.
And this is ignoring how Saddam’s cronies and the people he enabled have reaped the lives of thousands of Iraqis following his downfall.

There should be no way in hell that his crimes are whitewashed and his era be seen with rose coloured glasses.
His family, especially his daughter (whose husband was ironically killed by her dad) should never, and I mean never, be given a platform.

We did not give this many martyrs for Iraq to go back under that family’s rule, influence, and rewriting of history.
