i think a really big problem with bad mentality folk is seeing “being wrong” as “being wronged”

people saying “it shouldn’t be this way” or “this is unintuitive” can’t see past their internal “my thoughts are immaculate because i thought them” fire wall
in a world where no game is perfect and everything CAN be improved, there’s always something people are going to want changed

and I’m not talking about game breaking bugs and the like which are a different story

one of the easiest ways to cope with loss or an attack on ego...
...is to trick yourself into believing the world (game) is against you or it’s designed for you to fail (unfair)

these thoughts themselves are already pretty toxic in nature and i don’t need to explain why ~~

but where it gets bad is if you let this mentality take hold...
...of you and ESPECIALLY if you’re surrounded by people who think the same, you start to believe ur shit thoughts so much that you can’t help but act on them

giving yourself (the righteous wiseman) the authority to carry out actual change by no ones acceptance but your ever...
...growing gang of followers that really enjoy your easy to swallow hot takes and “for the people” ruse that you yourself tricked yourself into believing.

and u see this kinda thing happen everywhere
i think it’s really important to surround yourself with real friends who aren’t afraid to call your bs and roast you

ive been down that dark scrub tunnel before and my friends have always pulled me out by exposing me to myself, if that’s makes sense
i think (and this is just me) that one of the most enjoyable things about fighting games and one of their main themes as a genre is what they do to the people playing them

it goes within saying a lot but they really do change a person if you put your heart into them
the personal character growth and friends we’ve made is something we all share with the experience.

You can’t let people you love rob themselves of that experience by enabling them to turn into a hyper shitter, you gotta help them
