1/ $TSLA Model Y seeing production issues in China.

-Orders after Jan-4th won't be delivered till May/Jun
-Orders in May won't see delivery till Oct
-Big EV demand now b/c license regs eased till March
-Y orders switching to Model 3, $NIO $XPEV b/c of this
2/ No reason given for the Y's long lead time. MIC Model 3 only 3-5 weeks.

Odd that Tesla Sales saying orders in May for Y still will require 5 months lead time.

"Model Y fever" is dying down, it appears. MIC M3 is $15K cheaper & seen as a better buy in China.
3/ MIC Model Y sales in Jan only 1.6K vs MIC M3's 1st month's sales of 2.6K in Jan'20.

To have production stalled on a new model is a huge cost pressure, given new tooling & expanded capacity.

Q1 margins & 2021 goal of 755K deliveries at risk.
