While most mainstream artists refrained from dropping dropping in 2020 due to the pandemic that was going on the underground decided to step up and absolutely dominate 2020, so here’s a thread of my favorite 2020 underground HH albums.
Miles - Blu & Exile

Although its been more than 10 years since the release of below the heavens blu finally teamed up again with the producer exile to give us what is imo the best album of 2020, although a lot of people complained that the album was too long it i didn't mind it
Reasonable Drought - StoveGod Cooks

After being featured on few songs with Roc Mariano, we finally got Stove’s debut album. Stove’s charisma and Roc’s amazing production resulted in one of the best debut album that I have heard in a long time.looking forward to what he has next
Mt. Marci - Roc marciano

Although i think this is his worst album this is still a solid album that i think is over-hated.And the fact this is his worst album just proves how amazing roc's discography is.
Price of tea in china - Boldy james & The alchemist

boldy and alchemist are easily the mvps of 2020, not only did they drop this amazing project but they were also both part in 2 of the top 5 albums of 2020 (alfredo & manger on McNichols)
manger on McNichols - Boldy james & Sterling Toles

This album has been in the making for over a decade and it really shows, the production on this album is out of this world and boldy james drops amazing verses. Amazing album from start to finish. Easily top 3 of 2020
Descendants of cain - Ka

After dropping two amazing projects back to back Ka did not disappoint with this album. With another album that is filled with deep lyricism and a great concept Ka proves again why he is one of the best in the game right now.
As god Intended - Che noir & Apollo brown

Che noir is one of the best female rappers and lyricist out rn, this album contains some of the best lyricism and story telling from last year, and on top of that amazing Apollo brown production which was the icing on the cake.
Griselda

Cant mention underground without mentioning griselda. I will not be talking about all the albums they dropped last year but here is the best project each of the main 3 members dropped last year ranked from best to worst.
Ransom

Ransom might be the most underrated rapper from last, not only is he a great rapper but he also went on insane run last year. Although I think all these projects are amazing I think directors cut scene 3 is the best one here.
Brass - Moor mother & Billy Woods

After listening to hiding places I had to check out this album out and I did not regret it at all. With great production, excellent rapping and a solid feature line up this album stands as one of the most underrated albums from last year.
Song of sage: post panic! - Navy Blue

Listened to this album recently and I seriously regret not listening to it earlier, the production is laid back with navy blue rapping about various topics such as personal issues and self harm. Highly suggest you listen to this album.
Honorable mentions:

Flee lord literally dropped 12 albums last year, while I only listened one or two of these albums the fact that he dropped 12 projects in the span of a year is insane.
END OF THREAD. I just want to say thank you to all the underground artists for dropping all these projects at a time like this, music has been a big part of my life recently and i really appreciate all the hard you put into your craft. Keep working and i promise it will all payoff
