A Thread:

It's gonna be one per artist and I'm gonna add a snippet of each song so you can listen if you haven't heard it before or don't remember. RT's appreciated fr

Enjoy!
#20 Jessie Ware - Read My Lips

Starting off with an easy going feel good song from vocalist and Dance-Pop artist Jessie Ware.
This song always puts me in a good mood and sounds best when you're having a great time, would love to actually dance to this in a club some day
#19 Taylor Swift - Blank Space

Out of all of Taylor's great albums, one of her most mainstream songs, Blank Space, is my personal favorite. I used to love this song years ago and it still is my favorite to this day.
#18 SOPHIE - Burn Rubber

This is not actually an officially released song but I had to include it. The cute and innocent-sounding voice of Sarah Bonito combined with Sophie's hard-hitting production just works so incredibly well.

R.I.P SOPHIE
#17 Death Grips - Big Dipper

The usual hard-hitting, glitchy production that DG is known for and the flows and deliveries of MC Ride always work well together, this is just my personal favorite example of exactly that
#16 Westside Gunn - Lucha Bros

Best track in the best hip hop discography of all time. The Beat/Sample on this is just heavenly and compliments WSG extremely well. Curren$y and Benny both drop some of their best features ever aswell
#15 Dire Straits - Sultans Of Swing

This was one of the first songs ever to really blow me away, my dad put me onto this when I was very young already and I still love it to this day, another good mood song for me
#14 MF DOOM - THAT'S THAT

Prime example of DOOM's crazy flow with incredible rhyme schemes on an amazing sounding sample. What makes this song stand out for me though is his singing near the end, which sounds way better than it probably should

R.I.P DOOM
#13 Fiona Apple - On The Bound

One of the best vocal perfomances from one of my favorite vocalists. Throughout her 20+ year career she only dropped 5 albums but that means that there is not a single bad song in her discography, with On The Bound being my favorite
#12 Supertramp - School

Another song my dad put me onto. This song has everything I look for in a rock song and this short clip doesn't capture everything it has to offer, so I suggest checking it out completely
#11 Yung Lean - Yoshi City

Just recently became a big fan of Lean's music but he's already one of my favorites and picking a favorite song from him was difficult, but Yoshi City is an amazing track that has everything I need in a Yung Lean song
#10 Rico Nasty - Iphone

When this dropped as a single last year I was extremely hyped because even though I was a big fan of her earlier work, this sound is much more interesting and a perfect example of Dylan Brady's production talents
#9 ScHoolby Q - Perscription/Oxymoron

Q sHows of His vulnerability on tHe first Half of tHis track, wHicH tHen turns into an absolute banger in tHe second Half after one of tHe best if not my favorite beat switcHes ever
#8 Freddie Gibbs - Education

One of the most talented rappers ever just flowing effortlessly over one of Madlib's best beats, talking about racial injustice and tensions in America.
Oh, and it has a Mos Def and Black Thought feature too btw
#7 FKA twigs - Glass & Patron

One of the most creative artists out right now, FKA twigs always finds a a way to reinvent herself on every project with her diverse use of vocals and prodcution, Glass & Patron being the highlight of her career so far
#6 Portishead - The Rip

Beth Gibbons' vocals paired with the usual great instrumentation/production from Portishead is a match made in heaven. Even though it's not as dark or glitchy as some of their other songs, The Rip is just a lovely song that builds itself up from the start
#5 Pink Flyod - Wish You Were Here

Even though this is a kinda basic pick for Pink Floyd this is a phenomenal song. Beautiful vocals, beautiful instrumentation and heart-felt lyrics make it a classic song on one of my favorite albums ever
#3 100 Gecs - Ringtone Remix

Charli XCX, Sarah Bonito and Rico Nasty on a 100 Gecs produced banger? It doesn't get much better than this for me. Charli and Sarah present heavenly vocals and Rico also adds a great verse to the song, while Gecs do their best part on the production
#2 Joanna Newsom - Sawdust & Diamonds

One of the most talented musicians of our time, Joanna not only has the best voice of any human that I have ever heard, she also mastered a lot of the instruments used in her music, which all comes together on Sawdust & Diamonds
#1 Charli XCX - Out Of My Head

This song is perfect in every way imaginable to me, I honestly can't describe how but the combination of vocals from Charli, Tove Lo and Alma is the perfect mix, the drums in the background and every note that is hit make this song perfect
1/2
But not only is it a great song, it holds a lot of personal value to me. When I'm happy or sad I can cry to it, when I don't feel good it can comfort me and it somehow gives me confidence when I need it.
No other song on this list even comes close tbh
2/2
