It has completed the hyper popular mainstream music lifecycle for me...
As an album I got tired of cus it was overplayed, and overhyped by one of the most annoying fan bases imaginable

But after recent listens I realized there is something truly fascinating about Drake's obscene confidence on this
Which I was too young (20) in 2015 to connect with... as I had sub-zero confidence levels at the time

There’s also some brilliant production choices on this album
Remarkably catchy songwriting throughout, and some very well executed changes of pace like the icy Madonna, and the beat change on Star67

Also, a bloated second half that had a some unnecessarily meandering R&B cuts, and so-so introspective joints that I could’ve done without
But even previous songs I HATED like Preach are just regular mid now, and 6 God actually is pretty cool now on the 25th listen lol

Overall, this isn’t me saying If You’re Reading This is a classic or anything, it still has significant flaws
But it’s very good, and has some of the most entertaining pop rap tracks of the past decade
With charisma levels that are off the charts

In my blog days I gave this a mid 6, so my new score would be a high 7
This is one of Drake’s best moments, and is up there with NWTS & Take Care
If he can just capture this energy again and manage to trim the fat... maybe he can finally cash in on his potential on Lover Boy
