It is really disappointing to see so many people mocking Texans in regards to their reactions to this winter storm. Over 4.4 million people in Texas ALONE do not have power right now and have not for over 24 hours. You'd be freezing to if you had no warm place to go.
Correction: I had misread the recent updates. It is 4.4 million [customers] without power meaning 4.4 million households. The actual number of individuals who are without power is drastically higher.

It's not. This is about the extreme lack of empathy being shown by people from northern states implying they could handle this weather better because they grew up in it and how the cold temps are "nothing".

There's no doubt that terrible government officials who care more about the bottomline than their communities is what led to the crisis currently ongoing in Texas. They should absolutely be voted out. All I am asking is for a bit of empathy for people living in this state.
