Felix Dennis as an aside...fascinating publisher, poet, and philanthropist whose net worth was estimated between $400-$900 million. His Wikipedia page is worth a gander for his interesting background. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Felix_Dennis
Myth 1: The claim that "people did not set out to get rich, but became rich by 'accident'."

Felix writes, "Some people are merely better at disguising desire, that's all."
Myth 2: "People got rich by having a "great idea."

Everyone wants to be the next Steve Jobs, but today's doers will be rewarded. I think of @sweatystartup with this line: "If you want to get rich, don't sit around waiting for inspiration to strike. Just get busy getting rich."
And finally...let's see what's behind Myth 3: I'll label this as "Thinking it can't be done."

Felix writes this is the most destructive myth. "If you think it can't be done and dwell on that thought too long, then you are likely to remain poor."
The big takeaway for me from myth three in the book: "Times change, but human nature, the lure of wealth and the determination to acquire it remain a shining constant in the world of ambitious men and women."
Big shoutout for @awilkinson for turning me onto this book and see an awesome thread of his takeaways. I'm excited to dig more into the book. https://twitter.com/awilkinson/status/1354437259752136707
