It's been a frustrating season being curtailed by an injury whilst in a rich vein of form that saw 9 goal contributions in as many games
Hložek defensively does need to improve on his tackling as when pressing high it would improve his chances of regaining possession, but he demonstrates good aggression when pressuring the defence forcing them to play backwards or turn over possession
In aerial duels Hložek does well winning as many as he loses as he has a decent leap & uses his body well to apply the necessary pressure to challenge for the ball. Where he needs to improve is on the accuracy of his heading as manages to find good space in the area on crosses
In the transition to attack Hložek splits from the strike partner moving into a wide position & looking to exploit the spaces in the channel unless his partner drops deep then Hložek will hold his position centrally playing on the shoulder of the CB with the aim to get in behind
Hložek has good pace to exploit any space between the channels of the defence which enables create space for his teammates centrally. Hložek since converting to CF is predominantly more central limiting his crossing ops but has decent variety in his delivery & vision
In buildup play Hložek looks drops to link play with the CM & then move into spaces between the lines for a return pass or as he splits from his CF partner moving inside right link with the FB as they support/overlap. His short passing does need improvement as can lose possession
Hložek has good strength & balance which ensures he is able to "roll" a challenge when a marker pushes too close. His balance in combination with quick feet allows him to quickly change direction & break free from tight spaces or draw fouls from the defender
Hložek has a powerful shot which when he strikes cleanly invariably troubles the GK. His composure is decent & still learning the role after being converted from winger this season. Where he needs to improve is his heading technique as is wasteful with these opportunities largely
The metatarsal injury was unfortunate as Hložek started the season in great form looking very settled at CF. He is a very exciting prospect that offers good pace, strength, technical & mentally ability to perform at his performance levels for his age & a great addition to the EPL
