Quick summary for those of you trying to follow the iPhone scam among right wing Twitter:

Fraudster took over a verified Twitter handle of an American pop band named Night Terrors of 1927. (nto1927)

Used the verified status to run a "low-cost iPhone" Ponzi scheme.

Fraudster collected money from 100s of people for iPhones. But sent actual iPhones only to influential right wingers.

Those influential folks tweeted about their new iPhones, so more gullible people sent him money. The influencers unintentionally enabled the scam further.
The fraudster was outed yesterday as a serial scammer with a past history. Now prominent right wingers who enabled the scam knowingly/unknowingly are covering their tracks or issuing statements.

Gullible morons.
