1/ The very first council homes in #Rotherham were built at 59-77 Lord Street by 1910 - a small scheme blending with the existing streetscape.
2/ The East Dene Estate - 700 homes built between 1919 and 1923 - captures the full idealism and ambition of the 'Homes for Heroes' drive after the First World War.
3/ Rotherham didn't go in for high-rise but its single tower block is striking - Beeversleigh, 13-storeys high, built in 1970.
