Colleagues @marketingatUL @ul (Katherine Casey, Maria Lichrou and Lisa O'Malley) studied consumer and business behaviour towards WEEE, and I learned so much from their work and conversations with them and later when we started to piece together the different strands..(2/6)
Myself and @CoughlanDamian completed the field work in gathering raw data on WEEE arising outside compliant collections. It was fascinating to get up close to waste management infrastructure and to really examine how systems work...(3/6)
The project had a proactive and supportive steering committee with @WEEEIreland, @ERPIreland, @Dept_ECC and the @EPAIreland. This demonstrated to me how stakeholders can work together effectively to support and encourage research... (4/6)
I had my 3rd baby during the course of the research, & the report was finalised from home during lockdown. It's never been difficult to get back into this work, it's been fun & because of that, it's been productive, so far it contributed to 3 peer reviewed publications (5/6)
It's taught me more about the kind of researcher I want to be, the kind of work I want to do, what motivates and inspires me and what teams I want to be part of 👩‍🔬💚 (6/6)
