You can certainly say, for e.g "In some circumstances women are seen as 'valuable property' by men" as an explanation. You could link this to a possible lack of concern about women killed by "their owner" as opposed to women killed by strangers? This would be evidence of....
...misogyny on a systemic level, no? But- this wouldn't contradict the view that a woman killed by a stranger gets more sympathy than a man *killed by a stranger*. Males contain no value to other males- women are valuable, but as property, not "humans"?
