7 Ways to Get People to Believe What You Say

We see 5,000 marketing messages every day...

Everyone is making claims, so you need to show a clear signal that you are not noise.

So you DON'T:
- Get ignored
- Wasted hours to create content
#1 Metaphor

Turns off the critical part of the brain, puts them into an emotional visualization state.

From BS → "That's interesting, tell me more."

Formula:

'This ________ is like ______________. (Metaphor)
You will get/ gain/have __________. (Benefit)'
#2 Authority

Even when you are just starting out, you don't need a track record/ testimonial to have authority.

(Should be true)
- Awards
- Track record
- Borrowed Credibility e.g."I studied in Cambridge."
- Quotes from other authority
- Celebrities
#3 Explain How it Works

Explain after the readers understand/ clear on the benefit & promise.

If not, they will not care about how it works.

People buy when they feel like they have learned something.

Formula:

"Here's why ________"
"That's why ______________"
#4 Statistic Proof

We have been taught to believe graphs & charts since a very young age.

- Use specific NUMBERS
- Use graphs
- Be transparent
#5 Show, Don't Tell

If you have pictures/ videos, show them.

Human beings are visual animals, we heavily rely on our eyes.

90% of the time, we receive data through eyes.
#6 Social Proof

The bigger the claim, the more proof it has to have.

It's about mapping out objections.

Examples:
- Written testimonials
- Audio testimonials
- Video testimonials
- Case Study
- Screenshot of results or quotes from FB, iMessage. or any platform
#7 "Situational" Proof

"When you say something, it's something.
When they say something, it's everything."

That's why questions are so powerful.

Formula:
"What do you think?"
"Would you rather _____?"
"Have you ever noticed ________?"
"What if_____"
