THREAD: At Oily Cart, we join all those who continue to call for urgent action to address the disproportionate impact the pandemic is having on the disabled community. [1/7]
We know what a distressing time this is for many of the young people and families we make theatre for and with.

Our priority continues to be responding to what they tell us they need at this time. [2/7]
Throughout the pandemic, disabled people have been discriminated against and their rights undermined. The news over the past week has again shown the devastating consequences – avoidable deaths, unacceptable medical ableism and lack of critical support. [3/7]
Here are some things you can do:

Listen to disabled people and amplify their voices. Follow organisations like @InclusionLondon, @AoDisability and @DisRightsUK [4/7]
Support disabled journalists and disabled-led media, like
@DrFrancesRyan, @disabilityarts and @johnpringdns [5/7]
Contact your MP about making all people with a learning disability a priority for the coronavirus vaccine [7/7]
