Semalam aku join Clubhouse room hosted by @magmalaya , sesi yang menarik pasal marketing.

Aku sempat share pendapat 2 sen aku pasal recent Instagram Algorithm changes.

Ini recap on my thoughts:
[Thread] 🧵
1. Betul ke algorithm insta sucks? Now, Instagram prioritize jumlah shares+saves daripada likes+comments.

How can small businesses/service providers nak stay relevan kalau algorithm dah berubah?
2. Tech companies (TikTok, Instagram, Shopee etc) ni nak kita spend as much time as possible on their app.

Their algorithm will pickup engaging contents and serve those to the users.

Higher screen time → Engaged users -> Profit for them.
3. Posts tend to 'tenggelam' kalau users tak engaged to that post.

Perasan tak, bila kita scroll feed kat Insta, kita akan scroll past benda yang tak relevan.

But we'd always stop scrolling at that one interesting, value post.

We would save or share that post.
4. So, macam mana kita nak create post yang Engaging?

Buat content valuable dalam bentuk Carousels, 5 slides minimum.

Bring value to your audience.

Educational/valuable content ada higher chances to get saved and shared.
5. Dalam content creation, prinsip utama:

- Find your niche. Be specific
- Create content that revolves on your product/service
- Bring value to your audience
- Be consistent
6. [Case Study] Ali ada instashop jual kasut futsal. How should Ali grow his brand/followers?

Contoh content yg dia boleh buat:
- Cara jaga kasut futsal
- Teknik dribble macam Ronaldo
- Cara proper nak warm up

Chances audience nak share content Ali akan lebih tinggi.
7. If your audience finds your content valuable, they will share and save your content.

Bila sharing/save makin banyak, Insta's algorithm akan pickup content korang as engaging.

High post engagement → Better reach → Higher chances to get featured on Explore page
I'm sharing these from UX point of view. Also, this is more to brand growth/organic strategy.

For conversions, boleh refer to technical experts

Hope this helps!
