We’ve all been feeling a bit down recently and so my wife decided we were going on holiday. I was told that I was taking Tuesday and Wednesday off and she’s been working on a secret plan 
This morning we were told to pack to travel as we were going to the airport
We left the house and followed the directions which lead us through a door (which looked a lot like our back door) and straight to airport security (you can see the baggage scanner box)
But first of all we have to check in and would you believe it, we were just offered a free upgrade!
Our flight is in 30 minutes so Scarlett and I are just sat in the first class lounge whilst Heather has gone to visit the breakfast buffet
Overhead we can hear the sounds of planes and the occasional announcement “soldering irons are not permitted in the first class lounge”... you burn two small holes in the living room carpet and she Never lets you forget it
Not a bad breakfast in the lounge preflight, 15 minutes till we board so I better be quick!
Time to go to the gate! (This room may have been the Christmas workshop in a previous life)
We’ve BOARDED and found out seats
Looking out the window, I can see we are about to take off, I dunno if this flight has WiFi so might lose signal soon
And the inflight film just happens to be the Emperors New Groove, one of the films I wanted to watch this lockdown! How amazing!
Snack trolly has been round and nobody on the flight is allergic to peanuts!
For those following along, I just want to say that I am on this ride as much as you are, apart from a few minor things, I’ve no idea what’s happening or what’s next, this is 100% down to my wife so she gets all the credit

Baggage pick up
As usual when arriving on Holiday, Heather wants time to unpack so Scarlett and I are off for supplies in the hire car, I just hope I drive on the right side of the road, luckily we managed to hire a car very very similar to mine
I can’t believe there’s a @krispykremeUK In #hodgeland (now back to food shopping before mum finds out!)
We’ve made it to the hotel and wow, I didn’t realise #hodgeland would be so tropical
Someone is clearly getting into the spirit!

Can’t wait to do a few laps in the hotel indoor pool this evening
A well deserved nap for mum, she has done an amazing day, I’m so proud and grateful for the effort she has put in, I know how lucky I am :)
