BILL GATES, big investor in synthetic meat & in the militant organizations lobbying for its implementation (eg. Good Food Institute) & media hailing its virtues (eg. Guardian), wants to use REGULATION to move ALL rich countries to ... 100% synthetic beef. https://www.technologyreview.com/2021/02/14/1018296/bill-gates-climate-change-beef-trees-microsoft/
Here's a thought:
- Gates is a WHO top donor
- WHO is the "anchoring agency" for Action Track 2 on sustainable diets (chaired by EAT's founder) in the upcoming UN Food Systems Summit
- The UN Summit will set the agenda for future dietary policy worldwide
https://aleph-2020.blogspot.com/2020/08/ideologies-and-vested-interests.html
- WHO's Branca (EAT-Lancet member) wants to "reset" the food system & work on the "consumer side"
- EAT's founder & Action Track 2 chair wishes to "to take full advantage of the Summit...to force" EAT's idea of change
- Good Food Institute also involved
https://aleph-2020.blogspot.com/2020/08/ideologies-and-vested-interests.html
- EAT is generally in favour of hard policy intervention (to overcome the "whim of consumer choice") - in other words, heavy taxes, bans, restrictions, ...

If you think that sounds completely implausible, think again - first initiatives are already being developed. An upcoming UN-endorsed food policy manifesto will only strengthen the momentum and trickle down its content to national policy levels worldwide. https://aleph-2020.blogspot.com/2020/10/towards-great-food-transformation.html
Interestingly, this idea of synthetic meats is not new - it goes back to interest of the Rockefeller clan in dietary control (1969 'Population Growth and the American Future' report, commissioned by Richard Nixon & overseen by John D. Rockefeller III) https://www.population-security.org/rockefeller/005_resources_and_the_environment.htm
Because such ideas meet resistance, they would require an 'international economic order, capable of dealing with natural resources & environmental conditions on a world scale', to be implemented by a body with 'assigned central responsibility', serving as a 'lobby for the future'
It's hardly a coincidence that the current situation bears similarities to the Rockefeller rhetoric, they are part of a historical movement spanning decades.

The UN Food System Summit is being targeted by those in favour of a "Reset" & the use of synthetic foods. The organizations involved are the legacy of prior ideas for "resource control" going back to the late 1960s.

A 'lobby for the future' indeed.

Because they come as an overwhelming constellation of front organizations, a #hydra really, it's difficult to understand what's going on. But if one scratches the surface, one always finds the same actors. A historical perspective is crucial! Details here: https://aleph-2020.blogspot.com/2020/08/ideologies-and-vested-interests.html
All needed info is available & traceable, writing it up as a coherent story would be journalistic gold. So where are the investigative #journalists?

And, worse, where are the concerned #politicians? This is happening & impact would be HUGE, yet almost nobody seems to be aware?
Am I merely opposing the lack of democratic consultation & feedback? No, I'm also arguing that radical shifts from wholesome foods, incl. meat/dairy, to lab-grown imitation variants comes with risks for public health. Reasons outlined here by @aleph2020: https://aleph-2020.blogspot.com/p/introduction.html
And despite the common narrative, reliance on lab-grown foods instead of well-performed animal husbandry may cause more harm than benefit from an ecological & sustainability perspective as well.

Arguments here, once more @aleph2020: https://aleph-2020.blogspot.com/p/sustainable-diets.html
But when even @UNEP presents a headline vilifying meat as 'the world's most urgent problem' (not fossil fuels, MEAT!😱) & the UN giving its highest environmental award to vegan junk food producers, we need to understand that this is not a rational debate. https://www.unep.org/news-and-stories/story/tackling-worlds-most-urgent-problem-meat
