THREAD: Bedlington Terriers Football Club - The #FM21 Story So Far. #UpTheTerriers

( @BTFCOfficial)
This thread is going to cover the league history of my Bedlington Terriers #FM21 save that I stream over on Twitch. I'm making this so my viewers and I can look back on the highs and lows of the save, but also to show anybody who is new to my channel how far we have come.
A small backstory into why I chose Bedlington. I lived there as a kid. In the time I lived there, I played Sunday League football for the club at a young age briefly. They were the first team I played for. Therefore, it was easy to get attached to this save! Enjoy the thread!❤️
Season 1: Initiate. The first season was also the first chapter of my Twitch streaming story, which makes this save extra special to me. We began the save in Tier 10 of English Football. Despite database issues (wrong league), we smashed Tier 10. Top Scorer: Callum Johnston (35).
Season 2: Heartbreak. A frustrating season in the Ebac Northern League Division One (Tier 9). A season full of goals, however a poor run between Feb-March meant we came up short to Shildon - meaning we would be spending season 3 in the same division. Top Scorer: Cian Hayes (45).
Season 3: Redemption. We made sure we won the league on the second time of trying. Loads of goals and some great signings ensured we won promotion to Tier 8. Cian Hayes became a household name ( #DoesNotMiss). Top Scorer: Cian Hayes (40).
Season 4: The Double. An incredible season saw us easily crowned league champions, as well as the FA Vase winners in dramatic style via a penalty shoot-out at Wembley! Next stop on the promotion train, the Northern Premier League (Tier 7). Top Scorer: Graham Dodds (28).
Season 5: Frustration. Despite starting very well, a late season slump saw Terriers drop into the play-offs. The poor form carried over into the play-offs, and the first season in Tier 7 ended in disappointment. However, we found a new goal scorer. Top Scorer: Vani Da Silva (28)
Season 6: Clinical. A high scoring campaign meant that Bedlington Terriers secured promotion to Tier 6 in the pyramid, National League North. Hayes and Da Silva were becoming club and channel icons. In six seasons, we had been promoted 4 times. Top Scorer: Vani Da Silva (42).
Season 7: Disbelief. Despite being predicted mid-table, this was one of the most extraordinary seasons I have ever played. We managed to finish 2nd in the table, not only that, we won the play-offs! Terriers were going into the National League. Top Scorer: Vani Da Silva (33).
Season 8: Out of our depth. Sadly, we were promoted too early. The finances and reputation were not enough. The mentality dropped quickly, as did results. In the first major low of the save, Terriers were relegated back into National League North. Top Scorer: Vani Da Silva (19).
Season 9: Resurgence. After the disappointment of last season, this season was simply magic. A commanding display from start to finish saw Terriers comfortably win the play-offs, with club legend Cian Hayes scoring both goals in the play-off final! Top Scorer: Vani Da Silva (42).
