the proliferation of sex work should be alarming, but not because it's sex work. sex workers are part of a growing trend of poor people engaging in gigs and side hustles, which have little to no labor protections, in order to make ends meet. it's indicative of economic decline.
people decry sex work as a sign of social decline ad nauseum, as if sex workers are separate from the (global) economy and it's exploitation of workers and the rapid decline of worker protections. women are making OF accounts because the options are limited. duh.
folk worrying about women making OF accounts like women and poor people generally aren't the main ones losing employmeny during this pandemic. y'all worry about the wrong things. you should be worrying about these monopolies.
and for all those whining about oversaturation in the sex industry... you would get your wish for some of the "low end" competition to be gone if the oppressor just gave us money and resources. we wouldn't have to undercut pricing if we had the funds to begin with.
