Most JJK readers think Choso being wanted as the Kamo Clan Head is a possibility & imo I can see it happening. I wanted to list some general thoughts on Noritoshi & Choso and how I see them interacting together in the future since JJK is focusing on clan dynamics rn
As we see from the Zenin Clan, these clan heads value inherited cursed techniques above all, even above their own first-borns. We even see Naobito raising the price for Megumi if he was to develop an inherited cursed technique
We also see something similar with the Kamo clan when the clan head’s ‘rightful wife’ couldn’t produce a son with a cursed technique & instead made Noritoshi the heir because he had the inherited cursed technique
These clans don’t mind if you are “outside the main family,” they just care if you have a cursed technique & have a blood relation to them. Choso has Noritoshi Kamo’s (ancestor) blood & has the inherited tech of the clan, the Blood Manipulation technique
Noritoshi Kamo (ancestor) was said to be the evilest sorcerer of all time. One question that arises is why was Noritoshi (present) named after him. I think many answers are plausible for this question. I thought up three scenarios in my head that make the most sense to me
1. They wished to cleanse the name with a proper child who would do good 2. The rightful wife or the clan head thought it would be funny to name the illegitimate son this name (for ridicule) or 3. The current clan head is actually a secret Noritoshi Kamo (ancestor) sympathizer
The first 2 of these reasons are pretty self-explanatory, so I’m just going to focus on the third. We already know they chose Noritoshi as next head because he inherited the tech which means they value power & tradition just like Gojo was saying earlier in the series.
The clan treats Noritoshi’s mom as if she is worthless. We already know women are not treated well by the three big jujutsu families as told by Momo & as seen in the most recent chapter of JJK. These Higher-ups in the clans also do not genuinely care about non-curse users
The reason I believe this is because non curse users are ostracized in every clan & since its so ingrained in all their cultures, I believe it must start at the top. I feel like the higher-ups save humans because of their superiority complex over them, not because of genuine care
Basically, I think it is easy for someone like the clan head of the Kamo that subscribes to the higher-ups thinking to be ill-intentioned & secretly respect someone like their ancestor. This is why when he learns of Choso’s heritage, he would covet his ancestor’s creation (Choso)
The info regarding choso’s heritage is already known by every person that was in the final battle at Shibuya. It would be plausible to say this info has already reached the Kamo clan already
We know Choso & Noritoshi both value the same thing, their family. Choso is currently enraged at the sorcerer in Geto’s body because he manipulated his birth and toyed with his mother. Choso can easily sympathize with Noritoshi because his mother is ostracized right now too
I love Choso & Noritoshi’s Kamo connections. They both are similar. Both their mothers were disrespected by the Kamo clan & they both want their missing family back (Noritoshi’s mother & Choso’s brothers). So excited to see where the Kamo storyline leads
