To bounce off of that:

I think if we had to describe hitting into three main words it would be;

Adjustability, Timing, Approach https://twitter.com/clongbaseball/status/1360978578578542593
Adjustability: at the end of the day any sort of swing characteristic change that gets made should be involved around allowing that hitter 2 becoming more adjustable. We aren’t trying to create this perfect swing instead one that plays at 7:05
Whether a player gets bucketed into bat speed, barrel control, posture, attack angle, decel etc it should all be focused 2 allow 4 more adjustability in the box based on what he is doing in game. (Ex.Low AA,had small contact point in order to have a hard hit LD)
The training environment should also allow that player to have to make adjustments. Tee and front toss has its purpose for prep work as well as feel good BP, but at the end of the day we need to train in environments w/ a moving ball that constrains the player to have to adjust.
Things such as double barrel FB/CB machine, mixed BP, short boxes, live abs, angled BP/FT, using different bat weights/lengths and ball types. All put players in constraints where they have to have some sort of adjustability to be successful at the task at hand.
Timing: these next two are especially important when evaluating in game. It doesn’t matter what your swing looks like if you aren’t on time or stick to your approach. A swing w/ adjustability also can widen a players timing window.
One good cue for timing is basing everything off pitchers hand break. Start your negative move roughly around when the hands break, if still early or late then adjust from there. Good camera angle to use for this is CF.
Approach: have a plan in the box based on the situation/count as well as individual strengths and weaknesses. Then make sure to stick to that approach and make good swing decisions. End of the day your swing means nothing if you’re swinging at breaking balls in the dirt.
