Sick of watching the media sensationalize mental illness, all the while people actually living with disability aren't given adequate supports to survive? Yeah, me too.

That's why Bill C-7 needs our attention this week. Here are a few resources to learn more...
@SarahJama_ provided a moving testimony to the senate to advocate for Black, Indigenous, disabled, and vulnerable communities be provided the supports needed to live, instead of expediting their options for dying.

Check Sarah's account for lots on C-7.
Dr. Naheed Posani provides testimonial based on his experience as a palliative care Physician working within the margins where people can't equitably access palliative care and the support services necessary for life.
@Sarah_Colero is loud & educational đź’Żon Bill C-7 and the negligence by Canadian government to support disabled folks through this pandemic.

I know Sarah through cannabis - a place where patients are heavily taxed on plant medicine, while others aren't. https://twitter.com/Sarah_Colero/status/1360599701784002569?s=19
Contact your MP as soon as possible to speak up about Bill C-7.

There is a phone zap being held by @djnontario and @SURJto tomorrow for those looking to get involved. https://www.leadnow.ca/stopc7/
Though I support access to medically assisted dying, I do not support the amendments being pushed through. I see opposing Bill C-7 in it's current form a gender, racial and economic issue of importance.

Please follow the ppl in this thread - they know much more than I do on C-7.
