A niche #Marlies thread before the season opener tonight. On the press release, the Marlies said they have four veterans and a veteran exempt player on the roster.

Here's what that actually means (1/4):
In the AHL, you can dress five "veterans" that have over 260 professional games played. Another "veteran" can be dressed that has 260-320 pro games played, deemed as "veteran exempt". (2/4)
For the current #Marlies roster, this is the breakdown of players that are considered veterans:

Rich Clune (640 GP)
David Warsofsky (509 GP)
Kenny Agostino (411 GP)
Tyler Gaudet (376 GP)
Calle Rosen (267 GP)

Calle Rosen has 267 pro games, so he is veteran exempt eligible. The #Marlies can dress all of these players if they like right now, but if Marincin/Petan/Sabourin get sent down, only five of them plus a veteran exempt player can be dressed at the same time.
