I’ve been asked to release on NFT platforms, and I may do in the future, but only if it’s socially responsible and involving a reputable NGO.
I love the concept btw, but the focus on only bragging on how much $ something sold for makes me think to speculation, not art. https://twitter.com/polygon1993/status/1361338122315984896
If there’s a platform, allowing me to set what my fee is for a certain work, and then donating the rest of the auction to a certain cause or organization, please let me know. I’m sure a lot of artists would love this.
We can make money as artists and also be socially responsible.
Make NFT a driving force in helping the world.
Let me brag about doing a part in helping kids pursue art in poor areas or rebuild cities destroyed by wars, instead of only “I sold this for 100k lol”.
The concept of NFT for digital content is solid.
The issue is community and platforms. It seems the 2021 version of IPO/crypto where instead of “noble” White Papers you have art content to somehow justify a speculative market. Wonder who’ll buy the first lambo.
Finally, absolutely nothing against artists that venture into the NFT world.
It’s because I think NFT idea is solid that I hope platforms and big names will help it transition from a speculative to a sustainable model.
Everyone can do their part, nothing is black or white.
