Find it odd that so many believe the overall quality of the Premier League has dipped in recent years, when in fact it's actually the opposite.

There's more high-level players throughout the PL than ever before. From top to bottom, it's unbelievably competitive.
West Ham's league position is the perfect example. They've got a number of players (Rice, Soucek, Bowen etc.) who would be more than capable at a higher level. Leicester are flying, with a mix of homegrown and foreign talents. Villa and Everton are competing for European spots.
Bielsa is at Leeds, Ancelotti at Everton. Potter, Hasenhuttl, Wilder, and Nuno are all managers with really interesting and unique philosophies. No game is easy to predict. The 'traditional top six' won't make up the leading spots in the table.
There's world-renowned stars at 'lesser' clubs, while the depth of young talent throughout the league is ridiculous. Neto + Silva at Wolves; Maddison, Barnes, and Fofana at Leicester; Calvert-Lewin + Richarlison (oh, and James Rodriguez) at Everton; Bissouma + White at Brighton.
Fulham may go down, but it feels like they belong, with Anguissa, Lookman, RLC, and an ever-improving backline. Southampton have one of the best strike-pairings around. Leeds are one of the most entertaining sides in recent memory. Eze, Saint-Maximin, McNeil: the list is endless.
Different systems, philosophies, and playing styles are implemented at every single club. It's definitely fair to argue that there's less 'superstars' in the Premier League than there has been in the past, but the depth of quality is superb. It makes things so interesting.
