❗️DEAR ONE DIRECTION FANDOM AND FELLOW LARRYS:❗️

🥝I THINK I MIGHT CRACKED THE CODE TO KIWI 🥝

READ BELOW FOR MY NEW INTERPRETATION (thread)
My theory is surely not 100% true or correct and maybe i got something wrong in the timeline!

I just want to show you guys my thoughts and ideas so we can figure out the truth together

Let me hear your ideas and opinions
We all thought Harry wrote the song and that it maybe a song about a love affair, but thanks to @serendipitouis i discovered that Louis most likely wrote the song

WATCH THIS INTERVIEW: https://twitter.com/serendipitouis/status/1360368277722120193
In the Interview Louis says that he wrote a song in 2015 with two other writers and that it its a dance act

it gets suspicious when louis really can’t say the name of the artist who has the song now

so who could it be? 🤭
this description fits perfectly with kiwi

the combination of the title, the lyrics and the music video was always really confusing viewing it from Harry’s perspective

but know we will have a look at it from Louis point of view
it will be divided into
1. Hypothesis: Babygate is not true
2. Hypothesis: Babygate is true

Let’s start with the first one!

The first two lines fit to Brianna Jungwirth, Louis new public affair after “breaking up with Elenor” in March 2015
The next two lines will be important later, just keep them in mind

Chorus: Louis is confused but he can’t deny his feelings, he likes what is happening and throws himself into their relationship
Here it gets really interesting. All the New York references fit perfectly with Louis life in 2015. One Direction was on World Tournee since February but they had a pause between April and June 2015. In this time Louis was seen multiple times in New York partying with friends
here is an example where he was seen in New York after the rumors of Brianna started

Holland Tunnel is a Tunnel in New York
which symbolizes doing cocaine here

which means in 2015 Louis is obviously partying a lot and doing drugs and describes New York as a wild experience
Now the hard candy part. In the first Harry narrative we thought that this meant something sexual.
But now there is a Louis perspective. Hard Candy is a common synonym for hard drugs such like Cocaine which he talked about before. It also is a popular drink in the UK.
“To get your feet wet” means being thrown in a new situation but slowly getting used to it.
This could mean that this party lifestyle and especially the drug use is new to Louis but he is slowly starting to like it or at least getting used to it

So my conclusion would be:
Louis is on a break and finally having some time to party. He meets all this new people and tries new things such as drugs. In this environment he meets Brianna. This is mentioned by saying “in a black dress” because she wore that in the first public pictures we saw of them
Here is the picture:
And in this new experimental surrounding he might have had his first real sexual encounter with a women.
This is why he talks about the other guys opinions on the woman. Because he never understood how boys could be into women but now...
... he is into - for the first time- and he doesn’t understands his feelings which his driving him crazy

the song adds up to the narrative that briannas pregnancy happend in a one night stand and was never planned
This is why he says “i’m gonna pay for this” because he knows that this one time sexual encounter will have life long consequences
2. NOW THE BABYGATE VIEW:
This truly makes a lot of sense too.

The setting stays the same, Louis is partying and enjoying his life with some drugs

At the party he meets Brianna but he does not understand why everyone else is into her (because he is not straight)
The chorus -in this scenario- applies to babygate. The whole situation drives him crazy because he is in a cover up again which is even worse than the one before (Elenor). He is trapped now and “it’s none of his business” because his mangement decided it for him.
In this case the phrase “she’a such an actress” would make a lot of sense because she is playing something publicly what isn’t true

the rest of this verse is interpreted the same as in case 1
She is “sitting behind him like a silhouette” because he doesn’t really know her but he can’t get rid of her because of babygate.

“It’s like i paid for it” could refer to mangement paying Brianna to play along
Both interpretations are -in my opinion- worth thinking about!

No matter which one is true or whether even one of them is true, i’m sure that Kiwi is about Louis having a baby and it’s his try to tell us about his point of view

And the best part is: we know harry and him...
... are both fine about the situation and it caused no fight. If Harry was mad, why would he take the song and put it on his album?

We also have a video of Long Hair Harry singing Kiwi. So we know that Louis gave him the song in late 2015 or 2016. https://twitter.com/serendipitouis/status/1360368921455587328
This is why the music video of Kiwi makes so much more sense now!

The video starts with a child dressed as Harry in a blue suit and long brown curly hair. This could be a allusion to Long Hair Harry and his situation in 2015 where the song is set even though he published it....
in May 2017 and the music video in November 2017.

In the video there are a lot of children fighting with cake and puppies. This could be Harrys way of telling us that this song is about Louis having a child and all the fighting connected to with that.
Maybe he wants us to know that it wasn’t easy and a lot happend behind the scenes which we don’t know about.

And let’s not talk about the fact that young harry brought blue muffins to fight with ;)
And i think that Harry might have named the song “Kiwi” to fit it into his fruit aesthetic. And also it might remind of a fertilized egg cell!
