Shaun Edwards making defence simple against the general attack thread :
General pod of 3 forwards with a back in behind (every club uses this) France number up 3 vs 3 with the 4th defender (Alldritt) watching the ‘out the back’ option Byrne.
Ireland go ‘out the back’, but France are still in control. This is because Aldritt is still square on Bryne limiting his options. Ireland unable to go ‘out the back’ here as Fickou is connected and square.
Another close up vs 3 forwards and a back. France create a 3 on 3 with a 4th defender watching out the back = attack controlled.
