Finally, I want to say that I consider the #Yemen Panel of Experts report a serious violation of the #DoNoHarm principle, and I doubt the panel has seriously taken into account DNH considerations before publishing its report.
To lay such blanket accusations, that are clearly unsubstantiated as shown in my previous threads, against the entire list of Yemen's food importers, of being involved in a money-laundering scheme, is a significant overreach of the panel's mandate in my opinion.
Not only is it an overreach, but when we take into account that this list is not of luxury item importers, but of critical basic food importers, who have been the lifeline keeping food on the shelves in #Yemen, then it needs to be seriously evaluated by the #UN.
I have already heard from some of these importers saying their food suppliers are hesitating to deal with them now, and their international banking transactions are being held-up because of this report.
Who will be held responsible for the implications of such clearly sloppy report on the humanitarian crisis in #Yemen? I hope there is still room to correct this before it is too late. END
