I will never understand how some of the folks fixated on numbers and getting in the streets who call the protest scene "dead" don't put their energy into defense of the unhoused.

At sweeps you can directly standoff against Police directly harming vulnerable community members.

The same 20 or so demonstrators consistently show up at 5/6/7 AM to provide food, help folks move etc.

The work is thankless and I can see how it wears on people when it feels like their fighting an uphill battle without broader support.

So don't sit around and wait for the next uprising to get into the streets.

There are miniature rebellions taking place in your city every week. If you're able, you have a duty to take part and lend your body and resources to this cause.
