If someone else is publicly declaring your agent wonderful and you are having a different experience, DM them. Ask them questions. You are agent-siblings and that person, if publicly expressing, is likely open to talking.
If your experiences are radically different, talk to your agent about it. And part ways of improvement doesn’t come (maybe set a timeline?) until you find someone giving you the experience you want and need.
Personally, I DO have different relationships with different clients bc...people are different (phone/email, feedback styles, etc). But it’s helpful when clients tell me they need new/different things than how we previously were working.
And if a client needs more than I can give, it’s best for both of us to figure that out (and for them to seek different representation).
You may feel lonely in your experience, but see if you can find answers to seek change and improvement. You deserve it and there ARE good agents out there who are eager to find great clients and books to champion.
