Mutual perception of Kurdish separatism in addition to energy ties can almost guarantee that relations don’t spiral out of control for foreseeable future. Ties didn’t break when Turks bombed and killed Iranians and proxies in N Syria last year
Not to mention Turkey just arrested an Iranian diplomat related to assassination of a dissident in Istanbul and released CCTV footage of the arrest
