The world fell in love with the thieves in La Casa de Papel ( #MoneyHeist)...

But how has the climate changed in each of the iconic cities?

Madrid has observed exceptional weather recently with an enormous snow storm... However, this does not define the bigger picture.

THREAD
From inside the bank, who else to start with other than Tokyo… so volatile in nature. Unpredictable like the weather with a climate signature rising like her temper.
Rio, innocent Rio. I must admit, the climate signature for you is not so innocent and playful…
Nairobi - organised and clever. But no brains needed to spot the change in temperature here.
Berlin. Dark and mysterious with a generous touch of class.

However, there is no doubt about the long term temperature trend. More sinister than classy here…
Denver. Immature and brave simultaneously. However, not always keeping his cool. Especially with Arturito! An erratic temperature signature for you but a clear direction. Getting warmer…
Moscow, your calm nature does not match your rapidly changing climate. 2020 was crazy and held many records. Remember when you had to buy snow for Christmas in 2019?

It looks like you might have to ‘buy winter’ again in the future.
Helsinki, caring and brave by nature. He may have teased Arturo from time to time (who wouldn't?), but no messing around in his climate signature. 2020 was scorching.
Quiet Oslo, you too have a climate signature that speaks volumes like your cousin Helsinki.

2020 also went down in History as your hottest year.
Mónica Gaztambide, how things changed for you in more ways than one...

2020 was Stockholm’s hottest year by a country mile. All part of a significant warming trend despite some erratic behaviour. I guess this is 'climate change syndrome'.
Raquel… welcome to the gang. You don’t need to be an Inspector to see how Lisbon is getting on in our changing climate.
Palermo, out of control or an ideal leader to get the job done? Your climate signature is not so cool, especially in the last few decades. 2020 was your hottest year on record.
Bogota joins the gang and shows a similar signature despite a slightly shorter history. But the story is the same - hotter and hotter.

You also join the club with 2020 as hottest year on record.
Marseille... Denver may have called you 'mute', but there is nothing silent about this trend in temperature...
These are just a few snapshots of cities dotted around the world. The broader picture is clear tough.
