Hmm I learned something about relationships and I wanted to share a little. A thread.
The relationships in your life can be categorized as Partners, Promoters, Parasites & Assignments. And their category determines their access to you.
Partners: Your Friends. Partners are purposed in your life to build. They build you, and you build them. Your relationship with them is reciprocal. They see you at your best and at your worst, and they love you still.
Promoters: are mentors, teachers, coaches, and managers. They’ve been where you are going and know how to encourage you to get to your goals.
Assignments: are purposeful connections. God has assigned particular people to your life for a particular purpose of helping them. In Assignments, look for no earthly reward from those you are called to assist. God will reward you.
Parasites are organisms that live and are sustained at the expense of the host. They release waste and toxins into the body of the host and they feed off the host and offer no adequate or useful return.
Parasites part 2: In a similar way, if a person makes you spiritually, emotionally, and financially weak, they may be a parasite—and parasites are hazardous to your health even when being with them feels euphoric
So now You need to determine The Who the people in your life are, and what role they play. Healthier, happier, and more Meaningful relationships can be achieved by knowing their roles.
Know who is there to serve. Know who is there to be served. Know who is there to assist. Know who is there to learn. Know who is there to teach. Use discernment.
