A few thoughts on the pending takeover:

1) I think that it is vital for Sunderland fans to stop talking about ownership/being concerned about ownership. Over the last few years it has been a cloud hovering over the club - this new takeover needs to stop that.
2) Wouldn't it be nice if we focused all of our attention on results and performances - rather than worrying about off pitch shenanigans? New ownership needs to be transparent but also has to do its job so well that we never really have to talk about them.
3) The fact that KLD is buying a property in the NE is huge and means that we will have an owner living in the community for the first time for nearly 20 years (And Bob Murray lived in York, not Sunderland).
4) As a fanbase we need a vision to believe in. SAFC has spent 10 years battling crisis after crisis - without a direction. Now we need to be built so that a few bad results don't effect the long term plan. We need to know that our club is being run properly.
Finally, this takeover has to start a period of stability. We have had 12 managers since 2010. We have had significant player turnover almost every summer. We have a fanbase that is now damaged to almost irreparable levels.
It is time for Sunderland to wake up as a football club and remember that it is one of the pillars of English football. A club with a treasured history.

We have forgotten what it is like to be proud of our football club.
