I don’t understand people who watch Mufti menk for his lessons on adab and akhlaq. The scholars of Tarim, Damascus, Makkah and even the Indian subcontinent show the best adab and akhlaq in the Muslim world.
Have you ever wondered why the Malaysians and Indonesians are so successful when it comes to Islam? They’re successful because they physically go and sit at the feet of the ulema (you may have seen videos of the gatherings of Shaykh Ali Gomaa that are full of them)
They take knowledge and aim to gain the prophetic character from these scholars and then aim to return as true students of knowledge. They don’t watch a guy on social media doing a handstand or who wears a kayi hat for likes.
People in the UK have no excuse when it comes to following the “footsteps” of the Malaysians. There’s so many different alim courses here from jamia al karam to Dawate islami.
Stop taking knowledge from social media and take it in person.
Follow the footsteps of the likes of Shaykh Muhammad al-Bukhari. These days we’re lucky since many courses are now online.
This is a lesson for me and you. Learn adab and akhlaq from people like Shaykh Ramadan al-Bouti, Shaykh Mahmut Effendi and even the likes of Shaykh Saqib raza Mustafai and Dawate islami.
Don’t compromise your Aqeedah just to learn adab and akhlaq
Before learning from a scholar, read their biographies, their study history, their aqidah and even who their teachers were.
