I don't necessarily agree with Valorant's ranking system but I saw some people commented about how Sykkuno lost a lot of RR points even when he MVP'ed or top-fragged in some matches, so here is a thing, the RR points gain/loss isn't based solely on the player's KDA.

The game actually takes other matters into consideration too since the calculation is on a skill-based basis. This is mainly because the agents have different classes and not every class is built to maximize kill count. If it is, then everyone will fight to lock the Duelists.
So even if a player isn't a top-frag, they may gain more RR points on a win OR drop less RR points on a lose compared to the MVP. So please don't compare Sykkuno with his friends who have less KDA performance than him because that's not how it works and it's just mean tbh.
Things like playing on a defense, assisting your team like blocking the enemies with the wall, healing, winning in 1v1 clutch; these things worth many contribution points that will affect the RR points gain/loss. It's just fair because every players have different roles.
So if you see his friend didn't loss as much RR points as him, it only means that they probably had many clutch games, helped to defuse the spike, healed the teammates or winning 1v1 fight when they're the last player standing, and many other things that we may not realize

Sykkuno does get many kills but he doesn't usually survive the round since he tends to charge in. This may have led to the massive RR points loss if they lose the match due to his playstyle. NOTHING WRONG WITH HIS PLAYSTYLE, the system is just not in favour of his playstyle

I understand being upset (I do too
) about Sykkuno losing a lot of RR points when they lost even when he top-fragged, but please don't make comparison between his friends and him. They're playing in a team and no one is doing less than the other. Everyone has their own roles.

I'm writing this because I saw some people making those comparison. I'm sure Sykkuno himself wouldn't appreciate the performance comparison between his friends and him. Please don't do that, just calm down and try to be positive about the whole thing. Have a nice day!
