Low quality people enjoy being outraged, because having a cause gives their otherwise drab directionless lives a sense of purpose and excitement, and indignation makes them feel powerful.

They are drawn to activism and fashionable social causes despite lacking capital or power.
And it's because they lack capital or power they become the foot soldiers and useful idiots of those who do, they're the "true believers", the ones who sacrifice their lives on the altar of an ideology that yields them no prosperity, so that smarter, more powerful men may profit.
A person who does not have their affairs in order and can barely afford to financially support themselves, has no business engaging themselves in the fashionable social causes of the day, lest they wish to remain eternally poor. Priority would dictate survival takes precedence.
Furthermore, whatever cause is in place, is so because it is permitted to be. If the payment processors haven't denied them service, if the media hasn't slandered them, if the institutions do not oppose them - they're not the opposition or the revolution, they're the apparatus.
Now the next question a thinking person asks themselves is why do the big boys support these social causes?

What do they gain at the expense of the population subjected to its effects?

Whilst a non-thinking person blindly buys into the sunshine rhetoric and pats their own back.
