ST3 recruitment for August 2021 anaesthetics continues... It’s not run by the College, but by the Anaesthetics National Recruitment Office (‘ANRO’ - hosted by HEE West Mids)

Here’s some info about what’s happening this week! HT @gasgal13 for usual attention to detail 👏 [1/10]
Headline is that the Appeal window for self assessment scores starts today for 4 days - ie between Monday 15th February 2021 - Thursday 18th February 2021 [2/10]
That’s following applicants for ST3 anaesthetics receiving their verified self-assessment scoresheet via email today (Monday 15th February 2021) - that’s the evidence they submitted with the verified score, together with feedback explaining any changes to score. [3/10]
If that’s you but you haven’t had it, make sure you check your email junk folder (had a few reports of this) and please contact ANRO if you have not received this: mailto:[email protected]?subject=Anaesthetics%20ST3%20Query%20from%20Website [4/10]
This is ANROs process for appeals

“Where an applicant verified self-assessment, score has a divergence of 5 (10%) from the original self-score submitted at point of application, an appeal can be lodged. [5/10]
Appeals against scoring must be lodged within 72 hours of the verified scores being sent to applicants. No additional evidence can be submitted. [6/10]
The appeal should highlight why an applicant feels that the score should be adjusted, based on the evidence that was initially submitted and verified. Appeals received after the 72-hour deadline will not be considered. [7/10]
The outcome of the appeal is final and there is no further recourse for dissatisfied applicants. Disagreements over self-assessment scores fall out of scope of the Recruitment to Medical and Dental Specialty Training Complaints Policy and Procedures 2021” [8/10]
That’s the guidance for *appeals*- but you would like to raise a *complaint* about the process or any other problem with anaesthetic specialty (or core) recruitment (rather than a specific dispute about the scores as above) then head to https://anro.wm.hee.nhs.uk/contact-us  [9/10]
