Maddison is massively over achieving his xG and xA due to his ability to score and create special goals

Watching live the first 75 mins were an anxious watch but on review I actually feel we created a lot of good chances throughout and defended pretty well
I won't cover Liverpools performance much but Salah was dangerous and their goal was a piece of brilliant skill

We deployed 2 formations, our standard 4-2-3-1 and then a more fluid 4-1-2-1-2 narrow Diamond after conceding, on the most part they looked like this

Barnes gets the ball out wide and sells TAA down the line, he cuts back and has drawn 3 LIV players to him, HB delivers a good cross for Vardy who gets between the CBs but heads straight at the keeper

As stated, JM10 creates from an unlikely situation with a clever flick over Kabak, Vardy holds his run well and looked onside, a rust free Vardy probably scores but he smashes it off the bar

HB could of had more G/A in this game he provided 2 big chances to JV and could have scored a brace
JV looks to be returning to his best and that lucky goal may start another purple patch
JM gets involvements from unlikely scenarios but does it consistently

Final thoughts
All 3 players are valid options but Barnes represents great value at 6.8m as he is so direct.
Vardy could be an interesting alternative to Kane
Maddison will continue to overperform his xG xA because he operates so well outside of the area

Special mention
He's not a fantasy asset so he goes under the radar but Ndidi is the engine room of this team and we play so much better with him in midfield
He registered a season high 19 ball recoveries in the Liverpool game, the previous high was 18, by Ndidi against Spurs
