Spiderman: was asked Is SM more powerful than his villains and this was my reply "No. It isn't heroic beating up someone weaker than you so usually fight, lose, plan, track/ambush & beat. He beats more villains with a scientific solution than with straight fists." Sound right?
Wonder if there is a superhero gaming secret buried in that idea? The heroes we cheer in the comics don't just beat up the villains, they use brains, planning, research to win. A supers game should NOT be asking who has the most points in a given attack/defence combo.
Perhaps comics were originally written for and by nerds about how they would beat the bullies without being a bully themselves? The nerd would win of course by being cleverer than the bully and that's what they wanted the heroes to do.
