It must be noted that they deserve credit for this. I don't believe the modern Tory Party is simply a gang of Quislings as it used to be, or the GOP is, people like Raab and Patel seem to have a genuine liberal opposition to this stuff.

What you see, whenever this is done, is that the Left turn your opposition into the story. It becomes "culture wars", as if you are the one instigating the fight, and their ideas are simply common sensical, apolitical morality.
Observe this low-verbal rhetorical strategy in every single case where people have refused to just give in to the tantrum. You saw it with the proms, and with the statues thing, it will become more common...

This is basically just "stop hitting yourself", with no more sophistication. But it works. People don't WANT to care about this stuff, you win by giving them a way out.

What will happen is the DEFENSIVE strategy will be framed by The Narrative as this active, "patriotic education" sort of thing that its COOL to rebel against.

The failure of this strategy is NOTHING but the semantic difference between Attacking and Defending.

But this requires HARD WORK! Its why there needs to be a similar level of narrative discipline among the so-called Right-wing press as exists in the Left.
Everywhere, the Sun, the Mail, Breitbart, needs to carry scare-warnings about JUDICIALISM.
