Seeing all these talks about 3D renders post 2002, we had our own share of ideas in that regard.
Progress was made, the illustrative factor always intrigued me, especially used in other ways
The Slashthree era was certainly strong back in 2009, sparkling creativity from all sides had me trying to compete with artists of unreachable levels of skill.
After some slump we managed to create what was later known for a new twist in the 3D render scene, based on CityGen cubes with clean colour schemes. We had our own first Material Pack where I remember Peter Tarka himself even used these once at the start! :) Time flies
After settling some time, we got our first (and only one I think?) DD on deviantART, which made me insanely happy at the time, as reward for the hard work prior to it (huge thanks to @archannair back then). The Intrinsic Nature era has officially taken it's course for me.
Crying Lightning by the Arctic Monkeys, and I don't know how often this Artwork was already stolen from me. "A New Beginning" literally marked a turning point at the time where everything went a step beyond what I had expected. More work for @Slashthree at the time.
S3 and IN both recieved work that was now miles ahead of what I usually did, and I was really happy but never thought it was good enough.
Experimentation went on, even when I had to put a seemingly good style aside for now. But I have recieved lots of support from good friends I had, always willing to give advice when needed, even though I was stubborn but wanted to improve.
The more illustrative style took over, it will show in the next one for sure, Illustrator has been proving as a huge factor and resulted in things that I really liked.
ONE, some work that seemed simple enough to me, but had a big impact and is still considered one of the stronger pieces I have done back then.
