First let's give standing ovation to the team who produced this song, write the lyrics, MV director and vocal directing it. They are so brave and bold for this. I must say i'm impressed,
They really deliver and hit us really hard with this track.

When we thought dubstep era is over and the trend went back to retro-ish music, NCT 127 here prove us wrong again by dropping this track. even at the opening, the base melody is using effect instrument, usually this will come up from the hook to build up the song tension or the -
chorus to make the song switching up hard. like Chain and Wakey wakey, even fire truck use trumpet-like instrument for the accent base melody. But Gimme gimme using the eerie dubstep effect melody from the start and on top of that Taeyong Rap tone is not in rage mode rather-
it was his raspy voice in low register, rap-talking and more nasally. I thought since it was going eerie from the start mad rap tone is going to open it so it caught me off guard.
who is the one behind this? i need to bow down, i bet teyong is also involve

The chords which usually hit by bass, also use dubstep effect. so it just hitting one chords at the back, if you use your earphone you will notice. it adds more suspense as the flavour, and it goes so well with the lyrics which is also about a person who is kinda madly in love
it trapped them. the diction represent the story really well too. The story really build up well by the lyrics, chords and instrumental choices .
and then jaehyun soft baritone ending the verse to switch the beat even harder is brilliant idea. this is what i noticed about nct 127 charm from the start, mad rapping tone combined with soft sophisticated vocals layering the unusual kind of music. the contrast between the vocal
line and rap line is brilliant.
Alright entering mark's part with his groovy rap flow while the instrument is getting harder, and the eerie melody is louder but mark's rap stay on the same tone is really interesting, never thought it would work but it did. i learned a lot from it

A whole Yuta-Mark-Johnny part as the end of the verse is really pleasing to the ear. Mark as the adlips detailed, with Johnny soft yet intimidating tone after Yuta unique voice, umm chef kiss

Now this is my favorite part, this one. The hook before chorus, i think they did overtune and the melody is like a japanese traditional melody? idk what that called but giving me the vibe of yubikiri kind of song. This one is literally give me chill, like those main protagonist -
can't help themselves after realising they are in love with a yandere person.
And when doyoung part came in the chords went back. also it is vey smart giving this horror(?) part to Haechan it suit his voice amazingly and the instrument composition is switching up a little bit.

Because the hook is actually the same melody as the base melody since the intro but the instrument were kinda softer so when Taeil deliver his lines it really build up the chorus and everything is boom! loud again.

mad hard. Really elegant kind of tone, layering with low register harmonisation. and this is what i feel like their vocal directing deserve a raise, they sing it in a manner as if how they will sound when they sing it LIVE. this probably done after taking their choreo into -
consideration. What makes the chorus interesting s not only the base melody still the same despite the different vocal melody, but the bass sound is different from just hitting one chords into actually filling the bass with more deep dubstep effect, faint but it carried the song
Wait hold up, I have yoga class after this. Will continue later after the class
